The Slingers Collective is the international branch of Manjanigh (Catapult in Farsi), an Iranian revolutionary communist organization with strong connections to movements of the oppressed inside Iran.

We are committed to advancing struggles across several fronts: precarious workers, women and queer issues, and ethnically marginalized people. Our work is organized through the following committees:

– The Workers Committee: Supporting grassroots workers’ organization, labor rights, and the fight against increasing exploitation.

–  The Communist Queer Committee: A collective of queer people in and outside of Iran, bridging queer politics with class analysis, focusing on the conditions of queers in Iran.

The Secret Nesvan Committee: A secret women’s committee inside Iran, addressing class and gender issues like reproductive rights and body autonomy.

The Ethnically Marginalized Committee: Focusing on the issues of class and ethnically marginalised people in Iran such as Arabs Kurds etc

The Forbidden Archives: Archiving censored revolutionary events and materials from contemporary Iranian history.

Our mission is to advance struggles across North Africa and West Asia, linking them to the ongoing struggles in Iran. The working-class struggles in this region share a common feature: the fight against both local reactionary forces and imperialist intervention. The lives of people across the region are interconnected, not only by the influence of imperialism but also by the competition among regional powers. In this context, for a revolution to succeed in one country, transformative change is necessary in others. A shift in one country can have a ripple effect throughout the region, impacting the geopolitics of all its states. Therefore, we believe in the necessity of a regional revolution, where the region can function like interconnected pieces of a mosaic.

We aim to connect these struggles, striving for a regional revolution that will resonate across borders. We recognize that the crisis of revolutionary communism in the region mirrors the broader global crisis. While we acknowledge the presence of many leftist and revolutionary communist groups in the region—often aligned with global movements—our goal is to forge a new path toward organizing international revolutionary communism, starting from local struggles and contexts. Our approach is rooted in the specific realities of this region, but we believe internationalism is essential to any genuine liberation movement. Our organization is committed to drawing on revolutionary ideas from both the region and the broader world, building solidarity that transcends national boundaries.

To advance this revolutionary front, the first step is to establish a united front that represents the diverse struggles of the region. Such efforts must connect local movements in ways that respect their unique contexts while enabling them to amplify their voices collectively on the international stage. At the same time, we remain committed to fostering practical internationalist connections beyond the region. These connections must transcend mere communication and mutual recognition, evolving into meaningful cooperation in solidarity with revolutionary struggles worldwide.

If you share this vision, we warmly invite you to connect with us. This is not a call to follow or to be led, but rather an invitation to unite in common purpose. While our focus is on the transformative struggles in North Africa, West Asia, and Iran, we stand with all who fight for liberation, no matter where they are in the world. Together, we can strengthen the bonds of international solidarity and advance the historic struggle for the abolition of exploitation and the triumph of proletarian emancipation.
