In this short video, Margrit Schiller, a writer, political activist, former political prisoner, and former member of the Red Army Faction (RAF) in Germany, speaks in support of Sharifeh Mohammadi. Having herself experienced torture and solitary confinement in Germany, she talks about a fighting worker who is now in Lakan prison in Rasht, facing a death sentence issued by the judiciary of executioners. Margarete Schiller, a former member of the Red Army Faction, an armed revolutionary organization that fought in Germany, spent seven years in prison between 1971 and 1979, one and a half of which were in solitary confinement under conditions of absolute isolation. Even after her release, she continued to be pursued and harassed by the political police and secret agents, leading her to leave Germany. She lived in exile for 20 years, first in Cuba and then in Uruguay. Although she returned to Germany nearly two decades ago, she still isn’t safe from police surveillance and pursuit. Schiller has documented and published her memories of her time in the Red Army Faction, her imprisonment, and her exile in various books.
