Ontario Federation of Labour in solidarity with UofT encampment

On May 27th, the pro-Palestine student encampment at the University of Toronto reached its 27th consecutive day. This significant milestone was marked by a powerful rally, with leaders from the Ontario Federation of Labour standing in solidarity with the student encampment. The rally took place outside the King’s College Circle encampment, directly challenging the administration’s ultimatum to evacuate the campus ahead of graduation. The Slingers Collective was on campus to record this historical moment of unity between the labor and student movements. Listen to the motivational speeches made by leaders of Canadian unions, explaining why Palestine is a labor issue and why workers around the world should stand up for the rights and freedoms of oppressed groups, including the Palestinian cause.
