The University of Toronto encampment interviewed by Slingers Collective

The University of Toronto encampment began on May 2 at the center of the university’s downtown campus. Despite attempts to negotiate with the administration, talks stalled on May 24th and a trespass notice was issued, requiring students to leave the campus. When students refused, the university sought a court order to clear the encampment. On May 19th, the Slingers Collective visited the University of Toronto encampment and spoke with student representatives about their hopes and goals for their movement’s future.
